| Action Software was incorporated in Ohio in October of 1995. The business began as a retail distributor of closeout and special buy software products through computer trade shows. By 1998 we were participating in over 5 shows per weekend in various parts of the country. During this time we sold to several thousands individuals and businesses. Through this network we developed a large customer base. As our retail trade business
expanded, we suddenly found ourselves competing with a growing in house wholesale distribution network. Our ability to buy large volumes of software products at substantial discounts allowed us to develop a strong market niche. By February 2000, we totally replaced our trade show business with wholesale and web marketing. In January of 2002 we eliminated all retail operations. From the beginning we have maintained a philosophy of buying low and selling quickly at a small markup. Most of our inventory turns
over within a few days. We are able to do over $12,000,000 annually in sales with a sales staff of only 6 people. In
April of 2003 we launched a new retail website, under the name
of "BuyBusinessSoftware.com". This site will
specialize in software for the small to medium size business.
Our Wholesale customers can use this site to find out detailed
product information. |
